FRC Team 6012 first competed in 2016 as an affiliate team to the 4-H Club Limestone Robotics and The Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence County. The local Boys and Girls Club wished to have a Robotics team that would compete at the National level.

Though FRC 6012 was a Rookie team in 2016, the members that it was comprised of were not. Many came from previous experience in FTC and/or FLL. Though the team was only in existence for three years, the members have shared ups and downs--from being “steamrolled” in 2016 competition, “powered down” in the 2018 off-season, and quickly being “Powered Up” for 2018--and learned many lessons together.

The team is grateful for the support from local, state, and national businesses.
